the middle of something.

Most people come to therapy in the middle of something.

Not at the start, when it might have been simpler. Not at the end, when the story makes sense. In the middle ~ where the old way of doing things has stopped working, and the new way hasn't arrived yet.

That middle has a bad reputation. It gets called stuck, or lost, or falling apart. But it's rarely any of those things. It's usually just the part of change that hasn't finished yet. From the outside it can look like nothing is happening at all.

Sometimes it's clear what needs to change. More often it isn't. Nothing is technically wrong, and still, something keeps asking for attention. Or maybe you know exactly what happened ~ you can name it, date it, describe it clearly ~ and you're still living with what it left behind.

This is a practice for that part. For the stretch where you're not quite who you were and not yet who you're becoming, and both of those are true at the same time.

I'm Sabrine. I'm a Registered Psychotherapist and second-degree Reiki practitioner working with individuals and couples across Ontario and Canada.

I built Metamorphia around the part of change that usually goes unwitnessed. Not the before, not the after ~ the long middle, where things have come apart and haven't yet settled into a new shape. It's the hardest stretch to be in and the easiest one to feel alone in, and I think it deserves more care than it usually gets.

That's the room I try to make. One where you don't have to arrive polished or clear or ready. Where you can bring the thing you've been circling for years, or the thing you noticed last Tuesday, and neither one is too much or not enough.

My approach is integrative, which really means the work follows you rather than a manual. Mostly I'm curious, and I'm not in a hurry. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to explain it well for us to start.

self-worth · trauma · relationships · emotional regulation · people-pleasing · perfectionism · boundaries

Space to slow down and look at what's actually happening - the patterns, the pressure, the things you've been managing rather than feeling. We work at a pace that lets things land.

For partners in a hard season, a repeating conflict, or a quiet drift. We work toward the conversation underneath the argument, and the repair that makes closeness possible again.

An energy-based practice that works with the body's own capacity to settle. Often felt as a deep quieting — the kind that's hard to reach through talking alone. Available as a standalone session, or woven into therapy when it feels right for you.

Therapy outdoors, in downtown Toronto. For sessions where sitting still feels like too much, or where moving forward literally helps you do it figuratively.
